Jung Yoon-Young, who studied Buddhist Art at Dongguk University and earned her master’s and doctoral degrees in painting at Kookmin University, bridges the painterly traditions of East and West to explore the vitality of existence. Her art is deeply rooted in personal memories and experiences, stirring vivid sensations of life and death. The anguish of fading, the paradoxical surge of life, an awareness of fragility, and a profound compassion for impermanence are intricately interwoven into her creations. Her work also resonates with the awe and wonder of life’s fleeting beauty. This exhibition stands as a testament to the interweaving of art and life.
