Artside Gallery holds an exhibition titled “Play-Ground” from September 22 – October 22, 2020. In the exhibition, Jeong Myungjo (1970 – ) brings forward matters concerning women and their beauty through ‘women whose faces aren’t seen.’ She has been well received for her consistent work at home and abroad. Seven years after her solo exhibition “The Paradox of Beauty” in 2013, she is displaying her more matured pieces at the Artside Gallery.

Statement
The title of this exhibition, Play-ground, means a free play of the women portrayed in Joeng’s pieces, and it also implies a free talk between a viewer and a work of art. Viewers see the women who turn their backs on them at a certain distance.
